Our historic, Connecticut roots go back to a partnership established in 1967.
Frank J. McVane (1914-1984), then CT State's Attorney in New Britain, invited Michael C.
Bellobuono (1941-2012), a younger state prosecutor in Hartford to join him.
For more than 50 years, what started as a small criminal law practice in Hartford’s
South End developed into a firm that covers an array of client needs across central
Connecticut. The additions of M. Patricia McVane, Richard P. Kuzmak,
Raymond J. Wiezalis and Joseph W. Bibisi have created a professional group of lawyers
who advise and consult on a broad base of legal needs.
From relatively minor issues to complex financial and development work we have extensive experience:

A Rocky Hill resident, Attorney Pat McVane, graduated Trinity College and Catholic University, Juris Doctorate. In her forty-six years of practice she has established relationships on both sides of real estate transactions making her a sought-after closing attorney. She has extensive experience with residential closings and related marketability of title and title insurance issues. Her clients include numerous real estate mortgage lenders and agents.
Attorney McVane is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts located within the State of Connecticut.

Attorney Kuzmak, a Newington resident, graduated from Wethersfield HS, and University of Connecticut, BS Economics & Juris Doctorate. Richard has extensive experience with business and real estate interests, commercial project development, closings and related litigation. His other focus is Estate Planning (trusts, durable powers of attorney, living wills) as well and Probate matters including tax and relevant considerations.
Atty. Kuzmak is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association Real Estate and is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts located within the State of Connecticut

Attorney Wiezalis, a former Chief State’s Attorney who lives in Wethersfield, has forty five years of courtroom experience. He graduated from South Catholic HS, Villanova University, BSCE, and University of Connecticut, Juris Doctorate. After 15 years with the State of Connecticut as a prosecutor, Ray joined the team at MBKWB.
Today as a defense attorney, he focuses on criminal, DUI and motor vehicle violations. His extensive experience includes engineering, zoning and real estate matters.
Attorney Wiezalis is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts located within the State of Connecticut. He is a member of Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association.

Attorney Bibisi, a Cromwell resident, is a graduate of Connecticut College (BA), Trinity College, (MA) and University of Connecticut (Juris Doctorate). In 1991, after working for13 years for the State of CT as a counselor and administrative hearing officer, Joe went into private practice of law. Then, in 1994, he joined the team at MBKWB. Joe’s work with clients in Personal Injury, Civil Litigation, Bankruptcy, Landlord /Tenant and Family Law brings a broad-based body of knowledge and experience to the practice. His current focus is on Personal Injury Litigation such as motor vehicle accident claims, Workers Compensation, and Civil Litigation.
Attorney Bibisi is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, and he is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts located within the State of Connecticut. He is also a member of Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association.
